First Day of Spring.

Woot.  I am not a dreary weather fan so bring on the sun and the greenery!  To celebrate, I'm changing the look of my blog- what do you think?  I'm not sure I love this graphic... I might have to make my own.  I like my cartoon characters to be redheads...

I'm also posting my lastest project- more letters.  These were even faster than the last ones I did because I just got the Fiskars fingertip craft knife.  I think it's one of those tools you're going to love or you just won't "get."  I love it.  Maybe you have a friend or a local store that will let you try it out.

I'm sticking to a personal goal of trying to use paper I already have rather than feeling like I "need" new paper for every new project.  Parker's letters are made from an old line of Cherry Arte that someone gave me.  To jazz it up, I outlined the letters with a black marker and sprinkled blue glitter all over them before the mod podge dried.  I was able to rescue these letters that my mom had cut out for Parker years ago- they've cracked and some of the pieces had broken but the paper covered all that up.

Oh!  And stay tuned for a candy exchange.  I have had many of you write saying you'd like to be involved in a candy exchange and even I can't eat THAT much candy.  I thought we could all pair up through my blog for an international candy exchange.  More on that later!

LOVE the new header!! Surprised it's more "southern belle" feel than "Project Runway!" LOL She seems kind of American Idol--treating that flower like it's a mike, or she's going to devour it! LOL
Did you know they make Sparkle Modge Podge?? LOVE IT!!! Just thought you should know.
I like to do letters like this ALL the time and get frustrated in the nooks where there's extra paper and the scissors can't maneuver...are you saying the fingertip craft knife can reach in there??

Thanks everyone! I think I'll keep the colors and banner for awhile. As for the Fingertip knife... it can get in some small spots but not all. Because my letters were so thick for this project, in some of the really tight spots, I traced the outline and used my scissors. So basically, you put the letter on top of the paper, patterned side up and trace as much of the letter with your exacto as you can and then use a pencil to trace the hard to reach spots so when you lift up your letter, most of the paper is cut and then you just finish what's left with your scissors.

Oh and yes- I read about the sparkle Mod Podge but since I have plain Mod Podge already and lots of fine glitter... I figured I'd make my own =)

Love the new banner Ang! And I have to break my fingertip craft knife out of it's packaging! Just haven't been that inspired to craft lately. Oh well. =)
